EastLink High Speed Wireless Internet Update
EastLink Connecting More and More Customers Every Day
We are pleased to report that EastLink's Rural Broadband Network is complete, making EastLink High Speed internet available to residents and businesses in Annapolis, Hants, Digby, Yarmouth, Queens, Lunenburg, Shelburne, and Kings counties.
With 103 EastLink towers now complete and on air, we are connecting more and more Nova Scotians to EastLink High Speed Internet every day.
The Broadband for Rural Nova Scotia is an unprecedented initiative in North America. Getting High Speed Wireless to rural Nova Scotians is an extremely complex initiative involving many stakeholders and the diverse and challenging geography of this part of the country.
In our conversations with Nova Scotians across our territory, we're often asked as to what network completion actually means.
What it means is that our towers, related equipment and connections that provide high speed internet service availability to Nova Scotians in these counties are ready to service residents in those counties. This new network makes e-commerce, distance education, working from home and other application more accessable.
As is the case in all of our service areas across Canada, EastLink crews will continue to connect new customers who desire the service into the future. With any network, wired or wireless, we do expect to have a relatively small number of challenging installations due to unique topography and very remote locations.
Our commitment to provide EastLink High Speed Internet service availability to Nova Scotians in our territory remains as strong as ever. This continues to be an important project for EastLink, and one we continue to take very seriously.
EastLink would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your interest, your business and your continued patience. We encourage anyone who wants High Speed Internet to call EastLink and ask to speak with an EastLink Rural Broadband representative to book a signal test and installation. 1 888 345-1111 (residential) 1 877-813-1727 (business).
